Into the New Forest – Styled Hampshire Wedding Shoot
The New Forest is a wondrous place with sprawling heathlands, magical ancient woodlands and picturesque English villages that make it a special place. Getting married in such an idyllic location where there are endless opportunities for gorgeous photographs of the bride and groom is a no-brainer. It’s no wonder the New Forest takes centre stage in this elopement styled wedding shoot.
The small towns and villages have a quintessentially English feel with quaint tea rooms and walkways with beautiful New Forest ponies grazing close by. Who wouldn’t want a wedding with ponies in the background of your bridal shots?
For each location in the New Forest, the bride wore a different wedding dress as each dress has its own character that compliments the scenery. All dresses are from the high-street (sourced from ASOS) with the groom’s suit from Moss Bros and it goes to show how easy it can be to get a stunning wedding outfit especially for a low-key style wedding.
The style is classic but contemporary; a mixture of fun, flirty, romantic and sophisticated. It’s tricky choosing the one dress, so why not have more than one on your special day!

I thought I’d mention, some of you may recognise the models in these photographs. This was my first styled wedding shoot back in August 2015 when I first started out in wedding photography and developing my aesthetic. The styled bride, Jenny, is a good friend of mine where we’ve collaborated on artistic photo shoots in the past. The styled groom is in fact my boyfriend who had never done a photo shoot before! We’re all great friends, so the whole day ended up being a right laugh!
“One of my favourite moments was having the twirls and the dress swirling around captured on camera. We ended up both dancing and spinning around, just mucking about with friends and having fun! Another memorable part of the shoot was posing with my friend Jenny in the heathland with the New Forest ponies, where a main road ran through it. Cars were beeping and shouting congratulations from their windows! Little did they know it was a styled wedding shoot. Happy to know it looked real though!” – Rob, styled groom on the day.
