Navigating Life’s Obstacles & Building Resilience
Hands up if you’re looking forward to the bank holiday weekend? I sure am, especially with this glorious weather we’ve been having lately!
I was so happy that the sun was shining last weekend too when I was celebrating turning 27! I must admit I was a bit apprehensive as I do feel that getting closer to the big 3-0 comes with more expectations or pressure of having a certain lifestyle but actually, you guys have shared some fantastic wisdom on Instagram & Facebook and that your 30s is nothing to be fearful of; it’s a pretty wonderful time in your lives! Thank you!
Do you also feel that every birthday is a milestone of some sort? There are so many exciting things I want to experience or accomplish and each birthday is a good way to gauge where we are in life.
You may feel the same way too, whether it’s a certain age you’d want to get married or there are things you’ve had to press the pause button on… I know it can feel like a failure of not achieving these things. Though what I’ve learned in recent months is that taking things slow and appreciating every single part of the journey to get to the end goal is a good thing as I know it’ll feel that extra bit special having gone through these obstacles in life.
I’m currently in the process of buying our first home and if you told me back in January that we’d be moving house in a pandemic whilst the other half is deployed, I’d say that’s a crazy thing to do! It has caused some sleepless nights but you know what, I know it’s just going to make me even more resilient as a person and I’m just going to love my new home even more!
To all of you having to juggle work, life, planning your wedding, and keeping safe & sane at this time, just know you guys are beautiful, strong & badass and you got this!
Sending you loving vibes, always,
