Rachel & Lee

So 2020 may not have been the year we had expected especially for so many couples who’s wedding plans have been drastically changed, though a beacon of happiness came on 4th of July when it was announced intimate weddings could go ahead after 4 months of no weddings whatsoever. It was a wonderful day to experience especially for Rachel & Lee who had kept hopeful throughout lockdown that they could get married on their wedding day and to their surprise, it was announced that they could! They were the first couple in the whole Parish to get married and what a celebration it was!

Though their wedding may not have been a ‘dream wedding’ as what we think of in the movies or magazines, it was one of the most magnificent weddings to experience, so full of emotion, joy and love and that’s what a wedding is all about! Rachel & Lee made it their own special day, it was even more heartfelt due to it being the first time friends & family could come together and see each other in person.

This day presented a unique set of challenges in the sense of remaining physically apart, cutting down the guest list to under 30 people in attendance, not getting to hug all your friends & family, and also dealing with the summer rain! Despite all this, it was such an incredible day full of beautiful moments, a fabulously happy couple and some pretty epic photos to look back on in years to come.

With an emotive church ceremony at All Saints C of E Church in a quaint Wiltshire village, Winterslow and then heading to the New Forest for epic bride & groom couple photos in the woods was a particularly gorgeous way to celebrate as newlyweds!

This intimate Covid-19 wedding was pretty damn awesome and so happy I got to witness this special moment in time. Moreover, I’m thrilled I get to document their anniversary celebration next year of all their friends & family who weren’t able to come this year for a big old wedding shindig! What’s not to love about that?!

Thinking about having an intimate wedding ceremony this year and/or an anniversary do next year, get in touch, I’d love to chat!
