Southampton City Art Gallery & Gins Barn Beaulieu Spring Wedding

Such a magnificent day documenting this beautiful vibrant chic spring wedding at Southampton City Art Gallery and Gins Barn, Beaulieu in the picturesque New Forest. Truly a wonderful celebration of love from beginning to end. This wedding feels even dearer due it being the last wedding before the UK Coronavirus lockdown. It’s moments like this where a gathering of your nearest and dearest is such a special thing, and to have timeless photographs like this to cherish is so important.

The ceremony kicked off at Southampton City Art Gallery in the spacious iconic Art Deco main hall amongst a wide array of modern and classical pieces of art. It certainly provided a unique backdrop for a wedding ceremony! Sophie looked super chic in her white jumpsuit stepping out of her dad’s vintage Ford Mustang. The vibe was relaxed and had a wonderful community spirit with everyone helping out with serving nibbles & drinks for an informal reception after the ceremony. With the art gallery in the heart of the city, we couldn’t miss the opportunity to take stunning portraits in front of the iconic Southampton Guildhall.

Continuing with the relaxed vibe, guests headed to the reception venue, a beautiful rustic historical Gins Barn on the Beaulieu Estate. A gorgeously renovated barn with a luxe interior and quirky design features, it was the ideal setting for Sophie & Joe’s wedding celebration. Beautifully decorated with sumptuous floral artistry by Wild Peony Floral Design and Sophie’s wonderfully creative eye, the Tithe Barn looked exquisite. The atmosphere was fantastic and lively, guests sharing plates & platters for a delicious healthy wedding breakfast catered by the bride’s mum’s catering company, Bay Leaves Catering.

After sneaking away for a few couple portraits on the private jetty and emotional heartfelt speeches, the evening celebrations kicked off in great style with guests showing off their best moves and danced the night away!

An incredible, fun & joyful wedding from beginning to end, certainly one of the most significant wedding I’ve documented, this being one of the last wedding celebrations to take place in the UK before the pandemic.
