What if it rains?
It’s hard to tell with British weather, but in the event it pours, I do carry a couple of see-through umbrellas in my car that we can use. This also doubles up as a fantastic opportunity to create breathtaking night-portraits in the rain too! I’d love to capture all the festivities of the day and make the most of your exquisite surroundings.
Are travel costs included?
Yes, within 100 miles of Wickham (Fareham, Hampshire). I love exploring new places and do travel all over the UK and destination weddings. In these circumstances, travel and/or accommodation expenses are discussed before booking. (Please note that for Isle of Wight weddings, car ferry expenses would be added.)
What if you’re ill / can’t travel?
If I’m feeling a little unwell I’ll endeavour to document all the aspects of your day and won’t let that interfere on your special day. Should the worst happen and I’m severely ill or unable to travel, I have a great network of photographers across the country and will tirelessly seek a replacement so you can have your day documented beautifully.
What cameras do you use?
I currently shoot 2 cameras simultaneously, a Canon 5D Mark IV and a Canon Mark III, both professional-grade cameras with a selection of prime lenses. I also shoot on 2 memory cards on each camera so if anything went wrong on the cards or cameras, there will still be beautiful coverage of your day. I am constantly reviewing and upgrading my kit for the best quality photographs every wedding season.
Are you insured?
Yes, as a full-time professional I have both public and professional indemnity insurance for peace of mind as well as equipment insurance.
What does personal usage rights mean?
You can download, print, share and use your wedding photos with friends, family, at home etc. and display them loud & proud! The only usage this doesn’t cover is for commercial purposes where you sell/use your wedding photos to gain profit.
Do you document more than 10 hours?
Certainly! You’re welcome to add extra hours for extended coverage from early in the morning or till lights go out. This is charged £100 per hour. Every wedding is unique and I am familiar with different religious traditions and happy to document more than one event in the lead up to your wedding as well. This can be discussed in the consultation.
How long do we have access to our online gallery?
Your online gallery will be hosted for at least 2 years where guests can also access the gallery anywhere in the world. You, your friends & family can have the option of ordering high quality photo prints from your private online gallery as well. A quick and easy way to have your photos delivered from a professional photo lab straight to your door without the hassle. In addition, I also backup your precious photos and stored on different hard drives to ensure they’re safe.
Do you share our wedding images online?
I love sharing the joy, beauty and fun of your wedding day and celebrating your marriage. As a photographer showcasing up-to-date work is essential to generating more business and marketing my work to future clients. I often submit weddings to magazine & blog publications for more exposure of my work but also as a great way to share your story and cool wedding tips for brides-to-be. I understand that every couple is different and your wedding photos are personal to you so happy to discuss usage of images online if you prefer your photos to remain private.
How many photographers will there be?
All my packages include myself as the photographer, but you’re welcome to add a second photographer to capture groom preparations and different perspectives and angles throughout the day for even more lovely photos. Half day coverage (approx 5/6 hours) - £200, Full Day coverage (approx 10/12 hours) - £325
How many photos do we receive?
I typically deliver more than 700+ photos for a full day wedding (10 hours). Throughout the day you’ll find me clicking away unobtrusively to ensure I don’t miss a moment. Every image is carefully edited to showcase the beautiful colours and tones of your day as well as a selection of moments that look stunning in black and white.
Can we opt out of an engagement session?
Your complimentary engagement session is included in your wedding package so you can choose to opt out. I do whole-heartedly believe that having your photo taken isn’t as daunting as it first seems and every couple I’ve worked with on their pre-wedding shoot have found it a fun, easygoing and enjoyable experience. It’s a great opportunity to get used to the camera, get to know each other, (I too find it beneficial that we feel comfortable and relaxed together) so come your wedding day, you’ll feel like a pro! I do often find a lot of my couples come into their own during their shoot and feel fabulous!
Can we arrange a pre-wedding venue visit?
I'd be happy to arrange a venue visit in the lead up to the wedding so we can chat through your timeline, scope a few locations for group/confetti and couple shots for example as well as a general catch up before the big day. I find this is a great time to chat through your ideas and any questions you may have in the month or so leading up to the wedding. Often we can tie in a venue visit with your engagement session especially if we live quite far away from the venue or if local to South Hampshire, happy to arrange a local venue visit. In any case, we will arrange a phone call a week before the wedding to chat through the last details.
How far in advance do couples book you?
For peak Saturday summer dates, these can often be booked 2 years in advance. My couples usually book me 9-18 months in advance to secure their wedding photography. On the other hand, I have booked last minute weddings with 6 weeks to go! I get many enquiries throughout the year so to avoid disappointment please get in touch as soon as you’re ready to book your photographer and to check my availability. If I am booked, you’ll receive recommendations for fabulous local photographers with a similar style & ethos so you don’t have to start from scratch all over again!
Why do your couples love working with you?
I’m devoted to creating stunning wedding photos so you can feel empowered and amazing on your wedding day. I love capturing the best in people and my bubbly nature helps ease those around me so you can feel comfortable, joyful and relaxed having your photo taken.
How do we book you?
Yay, that’s fantastic! I’m over the moon! To secure your booking a wedding contract and a booking fee of £500 will secure your date in the diary. The remaining balance is due 60 days before the wedding.
