Your Wedding Photography Journey
Though your wedding day may happen within 24-hours, your photography experience spans much more than that and it’s the whole excitement and lead up to the big day as well as afterward that makes your wedding photography experience. Your photographs will be the one keepsake of how spectacular your wedding was and will evoke tears, laughter & joy when looking back on them in years to come. With this in mind, choosing the right photographer is a big decision and also feeling comfortable & confident with your photographer too is a must so you can be completely yourself, relaxed, empowered & feeling beautiful. Here are a few things to expect on your wedding photography journey with me.
It would be lovely to get to know each other, I especially enjoy hearing your proposal story and how you first met. I can either visit in the comfort of your home, at my home in Botley or if you’re further afield we can meet half-way or arrange a Skype/Facetime chat. You’ll also be able to have a feel of different albums, products and prints to help create your ideal package and ask me any questions you have.
If you’re looking to get married abroad and interested in a destination wedding package, check out my dedicated page all about it here.
If you’re happy with your package and would love to work with me, I’d be over the moon! To secure your booking, a booking fee and a signed wedding contract are needed to complete your booking and secure your date in my diary. An invoice, contract and questionnaire will be sent via email through an online portal so you have access to view these documents at any time as well as a reminder on the remaining balance payment, due 30 days before your wedding. If you’re unsure of your package but would still love to secure your date, a booking fee of £500 will secure me as your photographer.
3. Your Engagement Session
I love getting to know all my couples so you know you have a friend you can rely on for your wedding day. If you’ve opted for your complimentary weekday engagement session, we can chat through your ideas on where you’d like the shoot e.g. woodlands, coastal, city and the season too. If you have pets and like to bring your furry friend along, that would be wonderful too!
4. Before the Wedding
We can arrange venue visit which is a great opportunity to chat through your timeline, scope areas for group/couple photographs and general questions before the big day. Even if I’m familiar with the venue, every wedding and couple are unique. Alternatively, we can arrange a meet up or phone/video chat if further afield. Another idea is we can combine both the engagement session & venue visit on one day.
5. The Wedding Day
The day we’ve been counting down to! I’ll be there with you documenting all the little and big moments of your incredible wedding day for you to cherish for years to come. I’ll not only be a friend but a dress holder, shoe fastener, button hole fixer, tissue carrier and a happy inspired photographer. It's a privilege to capture a one-of-a-kind event and the beautiful intimate emotive moments that makes your day truly special.
6. Receiving your Images
I’m sure you’ll be excited to see a few sneak peeks, this is why I love sharing a few favourites within a week of your wedding to share with friends, family or even shout about it on social media! This is perfect if you’re off on your honeymoon soon after the wedding all relaxed and cuddled up going through your photos as a married couple. The final gallery is usually delivered within a couple of months of your wedding. Your images won’t be watermarked and you have full personal usage rights so you can print and share with friends & family to your hearts content! Your USB Giftbox and if you’ve chosen bespoke albums, prints, fine art frames etc, will be delivered after your wedding gallery is ready. You’ll have the option to select favourites for your album, postcard book etc. before they’re handmade. If local to Botley, I often deliver in person, it’s lovely to catch up after the wedding and know your wedding photos have reached you safely.
