Your Wedding Photography Journey
Though your wedding day may happen within 24-hours, your photography experience spans much more than that and it’s the whole excitement and lead up to the big day as well as afterward that makes your wedding photography experience. Your photographs will be the one keepsake of how spectacular your wedding was and will evoke tears, laughter & joy when looking back on them in years to come. With this in mind, choosing the right photographer is a big decision and also feeling comfortable & confident with your photographer too is a must so you can be completely yourself, relaxed, empowered & feeling beautiful. Here are a few things to expect on your wedding photography journey with me.
1. Consultation
It would be lovely to get to know each other, I especially enjoy hearing your proposal story and how you first met. We can either meet at a local cafe/pub, in the comfort of your home or at my place in Wickham. You’ll also be able to have a feel of different albums, products and prints to help create your ideal package and ask me any questions you have. I also offer video consultations via Google Meet if you're further afield.
2. Booking
If you’re happy with your package and would love to work with me, I’d be over the moon! To secure your booking, a booking fee and a signed wedding contract are needed to complete your booking and secure your date in my diary. An invoice, contract and questionnaire will be sent via email through an online portal so you have access to view these documents at any time as well as a reminder on the remaining balance payment, due 60 days before your wedding. If you’re unsure of your package but would still love to secure your date, a booking fee of £500 will secure me as your photographer.
3. Your Engagement Session
I love getting to know all my couples so you know you have a friend you can rely on for your wedding day. If you’ve opted for a weekday engagement session, we can chat through your ideas on where you’d like the shoot e.g. woodlands, coastal, city and the season too. If you have pets and like to bring your furry friend along, that would be wonderful too!
4. Before the Wedding
If we need, we can arrange a venue visit which is a great opportunity to chat through your timeline, scope areas for group/couple photographs and general questions before the big day. Alternatively, if you have an engagement session booked in, we can discuss your wedding plans after the shoot. I always make sure we have at least a phone consultation before your wedding to chat through your timeline & plans so we know the full schedule and can be prepared ahead of the wedding.
5. The Wedding Day
The day we’ve been counting down to! I’ll be there with you documenting all the little and big moments of your incredible wedding day for you to cherish for years to come. I’ll not only be a friend but a dress holder, shoe fastener, button hole fixer, tissue carrier and a happy inspired photographer. It's a privilege to capture a one-of-a-kind event and the beautiful intimate emotive moments that makes your day truly special.
6. Receiving your Images
I’m sure you’ll be excited to see a few sneak peeks, this is why I love sharing a few favourites within a week of your wedding to share with friends, family or even shout about it on social media! This is perfect if you’re off on your honeymoon soon after the wedding all relaxed and cuddled up going through your photos as a married couple. The final gallery is usually delivered within a couple of months of your wedding. Your images won’t be watermarked and you have full personal usage rights so you can print and share with friends & family to your hearts content! If opted for prints/ USB Giftbox/ albums/ frames etc, this will be delivered after your wedding gallery is ready. You’ll have the option to select favourites for your album before it's crafted. If local to Wickham, I often deliver in person, it’s lovely to catch up after the wedding and know your wedding photos have reached you safely.
